What do you do when your wife is making the cakes that the all neighbors are expecting for the annual 4th of July / Independence Day bash, she’s making fondant stars, and she can’t find all of her star-shaped cookie cutters she knows she has? Why, you remember you have a 3d printer and you go make some.

Just remember when she wants the same cutter in multiple sizes to make it a parametric model so you can easily scale it to other sizes.

These were the quick prototypes that I didn’t really clean the rafts off of because we weren’t going to try to sanitize and reuse them. If we need some in the future, I’ve saved the model files and can reprint them in less time it would take to go find some in a store.
